Thai H. Pham, MD Thai H. Pham is a fellow in minimally invasive surgery in the Department of General Surgery at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon. Born in Vietnam, he immigrated to the United States with his uncle in 1980 at the age of 5. After growing up in Southern California, he moved to Tucson, Arizona, where he earned a BS degree in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona in 1997. After a Biotechnology Internship at Rohm and Haas, Inc., he returned to the University of Arizona and earned his MD in 2002. He then completed a general surgery residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in 2008.
